The “Tulsa Riverfront Park” will extend along the banks of the Arkansas River, connecting various downtown districts and providing a diverse range of amenities. The multi-phase project will cover approximately 100 acres and include: * Riverfront Promenade: A picturesque walkway with scenic views of the river and skyline. * Boathouse District: A hub for kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding. * Great Lawn: A sprawling green space for concerts, festivals, and open-air events. * Art Park: A dedicated space for public art, exhibitions, and workshops. * Adventure Zone: A series of playgrounds and fitness equipment for children and adults. * Water Garden: A tranquil retreat featuring fountains, water features, and native plants. The park will also incorporate sustainable design elements, such as permeable pavements and native landscaping, to reduce stormwater runoff and promote biodiversity. Bynum. “It will not only beautify our city but also provide a much-needed gathering place for our residents to enjoy the outdoors, connect with nature, and create lasting memories.” The project is estimated to cost over $200 million and is scheduled to be constructed in phases over the next several years. The city has already secured a combination of private funding, federal grants, and city bonds to support the project. “This park is an investment in our future,” said Tulsa Park Director Kim McCutcheon. “It will enhance our quality of life, stimulate economic development, and create a legacy for generations to come.” The Tulsa Riverfront Park is poised to become a landmark destination in the city, attracting visitors from near and far. It is expected to revitalize the downtown area, promote tourism, and establish Tulsa as a thriving hub for outdoor recreation and urban living.
