The project is expected to cost approximately $10 million and will be funded through a combination of city funds and private partnerships. “We are grateful for the generous support of our partners who share our vision of making Baton Rouge a dog-loving community,” said Director of Park and Recreation Parks Department, Jofi Kaff. The extravagant plan has been met with enthusiasm from dog owners and animal advocates alike. “This is a game-changer for our city,” said dog park enthusiast, Sarah Johnson. “I can’t wait to see my furry friend frolic in these dedicated spaces.” The City-Wide Dog Park Extravaganza is scheduled to be completed in phases over the next three years. As the project progresses, the city will work closely with residents to determine the specific locations and amenities of the new dog parks. “We are excited to embark on this journey to make Baton Rouge a truly dog-friendly city,” said Mayor Broome. “Stay tuned for updates and opportunities to get involved in this groundbreaking initiative.”
