Fort Worth, Texas – Law enforcement authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in a hotel room in Fort Worth on Tuesday evening. According to police, officers responded to a 911 call around 8:30 p.m. reporting a shooting at the Best Western Plus Fort Worth Inn & Suites on Altamesa Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 30s with a gunshot wound to the torso. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have not yet released the victim’s identity. Witnesses told police that they heard a single gunshot coming from the victim’s room. Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence. “We are still in the early stages of the investigation,” said Fort Worth Police Department spokesman Sgt. Chris Daniels. “We are working to determine the circumstances of the shooting and identify the suspect.” The hotel room where the shooting occurred has been secured and is being processed for evidence.
