The company’s London Design Studio is responsible for designing futuristic automotive experiences under the ‘AutoX’ initiative, while the Coventry design center serves as the global center of excellence for cybersecurity and AI. Tata Elxsi’s expansion plans also include the establishment of a UK Network Transformation Lab, which will utilize AI for automated network management. The company’s commitment to the West Midlands region is evident in its plans to recruit talent directly from universities such as the University of Warwick, University of Birmingham, and University of Coventry. The company’s expansion has received positive feedback from local government officials. The Mayor of the West Midlands, Richard Parker, highlighted the importance of such investments in creating highly skilled jobs for young people and contributing to the region’s innovation ecosystem. The design and technology services provider is strengthening operations at its Coventry design centre, the global centre of excellence for cybersecurity and AI.
Since the design centre opened in September 2022, Tata Elxsi has expanded its presence in Coventry, with over 100 engineering roles filled by West Midlands institutions including the University of Warwick, University of Birmingham and University of Coventry.
The company plans to recruit for roles over the next three years and is looking to invest in the West Midlands, where it has its largest presence outside India.
Other expansion plans in the UK are also underway, with proposals to set up a UK Network Transformation Lab, using AI to enable zero-touch automation of the planning, deployment and management of networks, applications and services.
Tata Elxsi’s London Design Studio designs futuristic automotive experiences under the ‘AutoX’ initiative.
